The Girls Parliament recently convened for a highly productive session focused on literary enrichment at Delhi Public School, Mohali. The event featured a series of activities centred around the selection and review of books authored by women.
During the session, participants engaged in the careful selection of books that address significant women’s issues. The chosen works, authored by notable female writers, provided a platform for in-depth discussions on topics that resonate with the experiences and challenges faced by women today.
A key highlight of the event was the book review segment, where girls presented their insights and analysis of the selected works. This activity not only fostered a deeper understanding of the literature but also sparked thoughtful conversations about the themes and narratives explored by the authors.
Throughout the session, the girls actively interacted with each other, sharing perspectives and building a sense of community. This interaction was instrumental in creating a supportive environment where ideas and experiences could be exchanged freely.
Commending the active participation of children in the session, Dy. Director Mrs Reema Dewan said that the Girls Parliament continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering young women through education and dialogue. She added that by focusing on literature that highlights women’s issues, the Parliament not only enhances literary appreciation but also encourages critical thinking and awareness among its members.
